For 2019, only 57 out of 145 citiesaround the country have been presented with the SGLG Awards. The criteria have seven governancecore areas – financial administration; disaster preparedness; socialprotection; peace and order; business-friendliness and competitiveness;environmental protection; and tourism, culture, and the arts. The three others include the componentcities of San Carlos, Silay and Victorias. The SGLG marker will be conferred onthe recipients, along with the eligibility to the Performance Challenge Fund tofinance their local development initiatives.
