Delort targets Premier League return with new club Wigan

first_img Andy Delort 1 Wigan’s new striker Andy Delort believes he will fit right in at the DW Stadium and fire the club back to the Premier League. The 22-year-old was joint top-scorer for Tours in Ligue 2 last season, topping the goal-scoring charts with West Ham new boy Diafra Sakho – who also netted 24 times.Delort is hoping to carry on his fine form in England and is optimistic that he will make his debut against Blackburn at the weekend.“Wigan immediately seemed like the obvious choice. As soon as I visited the facilities I felt right at home. I spoke with the coach [Uwe Rosler] and it felt right,” Delort told La Nouvelle Republique.“I think I could get to the Premier League with Wigan. That would be perfect. If not, I know that if I have another good season then I can attract interest from a Premier League club.“The international break has given me a chance to get some work in so I really hope that I can be in the side for the derby with Blackburn on 13th September.”last_img read more
